Tax relief for seniors and retirees

Nick Mattiello: Promise Made, Promise Kept

Dear Neighbor,

I love our city and work hard every day to ensure that our quality of life in Cranston continues to improve, from having a stronger economy and cutting taxes, to investing in our public schools, to enhancing services for our seniors.

Two years ago, when I asked for your vote, I promised that we would eliminate the burdensome car tax. I initiated a six-year phase-out – the first two years of the plan saved Cranston car owners $5 million, and 17,000 vehicles in the city are no longer taxed at all. Each year your car tax bill will be reduced until the tax will be completely eliminated in four more years!

Throughout my 12 years of serving you, I have listened carefully and worked tirelessly for Cranston and Rhode Island. There is still much more to do, and I look forward to talking with you about your priorities as I go door to door during the campaign season. If you have any questions or need anything, call me at 401-270-7670 or send me an email: nickforcranston@gmail.com.
